i don't know if i am lucky
or if i am cursed
in this world that is focused on
money
greed
lust
and lost trust
and every time i see you
i stand there bewildered
because i fear
that you too
will give in to this storm
but even if you've crashed
and fallen so hard that you are unable to rise
i will still stand there before you
and offer you my hand
restoring your trust
in your fellow man
and maybe
just maybe
help you love again
